Nicole Zakowicz is a Managing Director in the Forensic, Litigation, and Valuation Services group’s Raleigh office. With over 25 years of professional experience, she has spent more than two decades advising clients on business valuation and economic damages matters.

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), she is qualified to provide valuation opinions for businesses and intangible assets and brings deep expertise in forensic accounting and financial damages analysis.

Her consulting and expert testimony experience extends to complex commercial litigation, including intellectual property disputes and breach of contract claims. She regularly prepares analyses of lost profits, reasonable royalties, and unjust enrichment. Clients also rely on her guidance in pre- and post-litigation phases with respect to preliminary damages estimates, settlement strategies, and ability-to-pay assessments. She has been retained as an expert in both federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings.
